As an employee of (large organization). I pride myself in being attached to one of the beat companies in the world. A company that not only in and of itself is great but one that strives to work with other best-in-class organizations. During the past year. I have received treatment (and am currently in treatment develop) with several organizations and individuals that United has decided not to continue supporting. While I experience there are two sides to every story a recent earn I received from The Health Alliance cites unfair business practices being set by United which frankly not only affect two organizations but countless INDIVIDUALS. That's alter individuals. Currently. I am seeing a neurologist who as of September 30 will no longer accept my insurance. What I don't understand is how United believes it is exceed for me to sever that relationship which has been on-going for nearly 8 months and go away over with a new physician. Where is the logic? Frankly. I am disappointed in this decision and will make certain when it comes measure to renew my insurance plan next year that I go out of my way to decide a plan other than United. I also hope my employer does the same. Do you realize how big the Health Alliance network is? I would wish that United Healthcare and The Health Alliance could go to some sort of agreement to not break service and inconvenience their customers desire this.
On the turn side of the story. I evaluate one needs to consider adifferent scenario which is also a more common one. Hypothetically speaking say UHC has put new payment procedures inplace effective October 1. The group your neurologist is in doesn'tthink the new payment procedures (the be they need to reject orget paid by the insurance) is in their best interest so they decide tosevere the relationship with UHC. This has happened to me more than one that my adulterate gets upset withthe insurance arrangement and they drop the health insurance carrier. I think based upon the wording of the earn you cited this may beanother possible scenario. And if that is the case then you be todirect your displeasure to your doctor's assort.
Not trying to be funny or make light of your situation but accept tofor-profit so-called health "care" in America. It is a BUSINESS. Iwork in EMS we bill for services. I hate the system but as long asprofits come before patients this is what happens: your insuranceprovider gets the screws put to them by physicians and hospitals whoin many cases do it because they undergo to make up for losses onuninsured and no-pays. Yeah it happens and when an insurance companypays out too many claims or gets rammed by a provider it does what ithas to do to be profitable. I work in this industry it's more sickthan most of the patients we treat. See it everyday. Like I said for profit health care sucks- but until we get ourpriorities right as a nation and realize that basic health care forour citizens should be as available and affordable as education, public safety and alter wet this isn't going to dress. I'm notsaying do away with private care for we undergo private education andfor those who can afford and choose to utilize it great. But today, your insurance companies are the consumers- and they have to do whatis most cost effective for them. Welcome to America in the newmillenium. Hope you don't get sick.
